More on the St. Nina Quarterly

Our Philosophy.

Some key components for growth in service to the Church are prayer, worship, education, communication, encouragement, and dialogue. It is the belief of the St. Nina Quarterly Editorial Board that:

Mission Statement

The St. Nina Quarterly is a publication dedicated to exploring the ministry of women in the Orthodox Church and to cultivating a deeper understanding of ministry in the lives of all Orthodox Christian women and men. We profess firm faith in our Church’s teaching that each of us is created in the image of God and called to grow into His likeness. We believe that all persons are endowed with gifts of the Holy Spirit in ways that uniquely express the fullness of their humanity and contribute to the fullness of the entire community of believers.

From the Editorial Board

We are incredibly excited to be beginning our second year of the St. Nina Quarterly. The responses that we received during our first year have been extremely gratifying. There truly seems to be a need to have a publication “dedicated to exploring the ministry of women in the Orthodox Church and to cultivating a deeper understanding of ministry in the lives of all Orthodox Christian women and men.” Our journey now continues.

From the Editorial Board

We are pleased to bring you the second issue of the St. Nina Quarterly. The response to our premier issue has been tremendous.

We continue the journey. Our Spring issue explores the themes of Lent, Pascha and Pentacost and the lives of some of the women who played pivital roles in the latter two events. The Church honors these women as disciples of Christ. Let their examples be a model to us as we explore our participation in the life of the Church.
